You Are Perfect

Guest Post From Evangelist Charles Fordjour

"Then God said, Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air and over the cattle, over all the earth and over all the creeping thing that creep on the earth." (Genesis 1: 26)

"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27)
"Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day." (Genesis 1:31)

One may inquire to know why all these scriptures. The point to understand is, do people believe they are perfect? From the above quotes, man was made perfect. For one to be made in the image and likeness of God is not a bad thing.

God saw all that He had made and behold, it was good. People look at each other and place some above others. But, heed the words of wisdom. God sees you as good and perfect. Do not allow people's perception to determine what God thinks about you.

No addition can make you perfect. God saw you good and perfect in your natural state, why change to suit modernism? Some of our actions disprove God of making us good and perfect.

Look in the mirror and see how each member of your body has been positioned. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Let not the words of men place you below where God positioned you. God's word holds the universe. His word says you are perfect in Christ Jesus. Believe His word against that of man.

People may see you good for nothing, useless, unfruitful, unprofitable and even senseless. However, you are not those things in the sight of God.

Let me again remind you that man was created a perfect being. Man defiled his perfection when he sinned against God. For man to be perfect again, he needs to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour.

By accepting Christ, we are redeeming ourselves from the imperfections of the old man into the new man. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things (imperfection) have passed away and gone, and behold new (perfection) replaced.

Be joyful and strengthen yourself in the Lord. There maybe times you may even doubt this, but the word of God is yes and yes. Never allow anyone to disqualify you of this credit.

You are perfect and wonderful; handsome and beautiful. See yourself as such and sow on to greater heights. God bless you.
